Hernando Mississippi Horse Play
Previously this year, Dark Horse Rescue in Hernando, Mississippi, adopted several horses from Memphis Animal Services right after a shelter volunteer advised and informed the rescue group that the horses just weren't getting adequate and sufficient attention.
Dark Horse has since identified and discovered homes for 2 of the horses. The other 3 are obtainable and accessible for adoption in Hernando, Mississippi, and the public will have a chance to meet those horses, as well as the other nine in the care of Dark Horse Rescue, at their "Meet the Horses" event on Saturday, November 12th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
"All the horses are friendly, and people can pet them and spend time with them," Christy Gross, founder of Dark Horse Rescue, in Hernando, Mississippi, said. "You can start the adoption process at the event, but we must inspect your home first."
This sort of public event is rare for Dark Horse Rescue. Typically, the rescue is closed to the general public, and potential adopters must submit an application to be approved for a visit. The rescue group doesn't publish its address for security reasons, so those wishing to attend will receive directions upon registration.
