Spay-and-Neuter Clinic on Wheels Ready to Hit Streets
FORT LAUDERDALE, FL - What has four wheels and will be used to crack down on South Florida's pet over population?
A new $160,000 bus that doubles as a mobile pet clinic, according to two Broward County-based nonprofit organizations that showcased it for the first time Tuesday.
The Clydey Foundation and Stray Aid & Rescue are two philanthropic groups that push pet adoptions and spaying and neutering, to prevent pets from being euthanized in shelters.
Organizers said they teamed up last year, conducted fund-raisers and raised enough money to buy the 30-foot vehicle, aiming to provide medical care to more pets.
